Purpose: The purpose of this data layer is to provide accurate and up-to-date community boundaries for three administrative regions (Marz) of Syunik, Gegharkunik and Tavush, which can be used to support research, analysis and identification of Risk Indices.

Spatial extent: The data layer covers three administrative region boundaries (Marz) in the Republic of Armenia. The extent is bounded by coordinates 4980316.7014, 4698840.8468, 5191407.557, 5056833.6084, using the projection WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere).

Temporal extent: The data layer was last updated in December 2022.

Data quality: The data layer was obtained from GEORISK, and is believed to be accurate and complete. However, there may be errors or inaccuracies in the data, and users are advised to verify the data before using it for critical applications.

Data format: The data layer is provided in ESRI File Geodatabase, polygon feature class format, and can be accessed using GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
